Since its founding, Solidus has been engaged in research to evolve and validate its technology. The Company has received support for its research and development from two grants totaling $2.3 million from the National Institutes of Health under its Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) program. Currently, Solidus' research and development is funded by a Phase II grant of $1.7 million, a $400,000 Phase I STTR grant (also from NIH), and a $150,000 Phase I STTR grant from the National Science Foundation.
